Installing and comissioning Master C-TEC NC910S Call Controller - 800 Series

Emergency call systems are essential for ensuring the safety of spaces where physical supervision is not possible or limited. Accessible bathrooms in hospitals, hotels, and other places are equipped with these systems, which alert specific areas, such as receptions or security posts. This enables someone to check the location to ensure everything is fine or to provide medical assistance if needed.

Today, I will demonstrate the installation of a C-Tec call system that I carried out. This includes the NC910S control panel from the 800 Series, the NC807C pull cords, and the NC802DB call/reset button. This panel features 10 zones, allowing for space identification, alarm muting, and resetting. It is a system that is easy and quick to install, configure, and test.

• 10-Zone Call Controller with 300mA Power Supply
• Compatible with the entire range of C-TEC's 800 Series field devices. 
• Housed in an attractive surface-mount plastic enclosure, measuring just 214mm x 178mm. 
• Two call levels – standard (constant tone) and emergency (intermittent tone).
• Optional mute and call accept/reset buttons. 
• The 'Call Accept' functionality allows staff to send an intermittent call acknowledgment signal to calling zones, confirming that help is on the way (dependent on wiring and devices used). 
• Includes a 12V 300mA power supply and 2 volt-free relay contacts that activate on a standard or emergency call.
• Innovative slide-in labeling system. Zones can be wired with 4 or 6 core stranded security cable. Additional master controllers and expansion units are available for use as repeaters in larger sites. 
• Optional boxed power supplies with space for a 12V VRLA battery are available for sites where a standby battery facility is required.
