Stream IT 2 - Newhank Audio Streamer
Recently, I installed an audio streaming device, the Stream IT 2, to inject audio into a hotel amplifier. Although I had never installed an audio streamer before, I must admit it was incredibly simple to install and configure.
The Stream IT 2 is a high-quality audio streaming device with aptX HD Bluetooth connectivity. When integrated into an audio system, it allows you to stream music from USB, NAS, or streaming services such as Spotify, Tidal, or Qobuz in high resolution via the Wiim Player app, AirPlay, Bluetooth, or other compatible apps. Many Hi-Fi hardware components, like the ESS9023 DAC, are implemented to ensure excellent sound quality.
The connection is straightforward, you connect the Ethernet cable between the Stream IT 2's network port and the router, and it will acquire the network settings via DHCP.
For audio connections, I connected the RCA-to-3.5mm jack between the Stream IT 2 and the sound amplifier.
Once the entire system is set up, it's time to connect the Stream IT 2 to your mobile phone using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the Wiim Home app.
